In fact having ground up two battleship trees I can say that playing the Yamato is almost like relearning how to play. This discrepency at T10 is the sole reason why after grinding up the Montana, I promptly left it to grind up the IJN BB line. I actually wouldn't expect the Montana to hold to up to the Yamato, but I sure would like to see it hold up better to cruiser shot HE shells. But at the same time was limited in the same way as all the other ships due to the need of passing through the Panama Canal. Unfortunately I just can't justify it right now.Īlso, the Montana is a Paper ship, so who knows what blue print WG took to model it, and the ship was designed to counter a ship they only heard rumors about. If they ever bring the Montana back into the balance, mine is sitting in port waiting to go. I dont seem to recall having an issue with my Montana in CBT when facing anything including a Yamato. IKR, who'd think the Russian player base would want to beef an American ship! then again the ship was designed to counter the Yamato in the first place so if it doe get a beef, it shouldn't have too much trouble dealing with Yamatos. ![]() something about historical accuracy and Russians thinking the Montana's too weak. Meh, there's a couple of rumors going around that WG's going to beef the Montana a bit for a slightly higher ROF/DMP than it currently has.
